    Gunny served in the United States Marine Corps from 11 February 1986 to 30 June 2007; served as a Military Policeman (MP), Criminal Investigator (CID), Drill Instructor (DI), Marine Combat Instructor of Water Survival (MCIWS), MP Instructor, Police Transition Team (PTT) Rawah, Iraq (2006-07) and retired as a Gunnery Sergeant (GySgt - E7) or "Gunny".
     
    Gunny Claus was created to support the Toys for Tots Foundation in collecting New Unwrapped Toys for children in need.
